I: This task took 30 hours because I had to plan photo shoots, take pictures, set up the studio, pick outfits, photoshop, and print these photos to display them in the up coming carnival. This semester I took non-traditional portraits of people.I had to plan the dates of when I would shoot and avoid rain. After that I had my models tell me what they wanted and I told them what I wanted so i took a set of photos of what they wanted and then of what I expected. I did several people and so I had several days of planning and shooting. After all my pictures were done I photoshopped a few to change minor things but enough to enhance the photo. While doing this at school all the photographers got together to figure out what booth we should do and how to fill out the paper work for it and to decided how many pictures and what size to make them so they stay consistent. Which we decided 8X11 paper and 5-7 pictures.
A: How did this help me with answering my EQ? Last semester I created regular portraits but to better develop my finally answers I created non-traditional pictures to help me understand what I am doing. It really fit in with all my answers which are technique, candidness, and lighting. With Technique I found how I took photos and helped my models relax and pose or not pose to create the image I was looking for. Then candidness for all the photos I believe are the greatest is the pictures that the models were caught off guard and looked natural. Then lighting I decided to be outside to get away from backdrops and I saw the power of trying something non-traditional be shooting in harsh light.
