Independent Task 1

L: I, Alex Vasquez, affirm that I have completed my independent component which represent 30 hours of work. For my independent task I turned my room into a photo studio and took portraits of people, and animals, all the while using different lights and backgrounds. I have also photoshoped some photos.

I:  This task took 30 hours because the color of my room was yellow and dark blue, which caused a very dark color temperature. So to obtain a lighter color temperature I had to paint my room a lighter color, so the light could reflect and have no interference from the yellow walls. Once everything was painted, I had to move things back in the room including the frame I built to hold up the sheet. The frame consisted of four 2X4s at least 7 feet tall. The frame was built with 2 stands and the base was a triangle consistent of the other 2 pieces of wood. After everything was built I had to plan for the several photo shoots and which lights to obtain. I had 3 people shoots, and 2 animals. Each one was planed but a lot was experimental to see which lights worked for each person. After the pictures I would photoshop the pictures which needed them to bring out small details.

A: My E.Q. is about non-traditional portraits which is it's own special type of portraits. So for my independent task I have decided to find out what is a regular, traditional portrait.
